Cookie Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2025

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, how Optiviera uses them, and the choices you have regarding them.

What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow the site to remember your actions and preferences over time, so you don't have to keep re-entering information. Optiviera uses cookies to deliver a secure, personalized, and high-performance experience.

Cookie Categories

We group cookies into four categories based on their purpose

Strictly Necessary

Always Active

Essential for the platform to function. They enable authentication, security, and session management. These cookies cannot be disabled.

  • JWT authentication tokens (session duration)
  • CSRF protection tokens
  • Session identifiers and rate-limiting cookies
  • Security fingerprinting

Functional

Optional

Enable personalization features. They remember your preferences — language, theme, and UI state — so you don't need to reconfigure on every visit.

  • Language / locale preference (i18n_locale)
  • UI theme and display settings
  • Last-visited module (navigation memory)

Analytics

Optional

Help us understand how users interact with the platform. All data is anonymized and used only to improve UX and identify bugs. We use PostHog.

  • PostHog session tracking (ph_*)
  • Feature flag evaluation
  • Page view and interaction events (anonymized)
  • Performance and error reporting

Third-Party

Optional

Set by trusted third-party services we use for billing, sign-on, and monitoring. Governed by each provider's own privacy policy.

  • Stripe — payment processing & fraud prevention
  • Google OAuth — single sign-on (if enabled)
  • Sentry — error monitoring (if configured by tenant)

Managing Cookies

You are in control — here is how to manage your cookie preferences

Browser Settings

All modern browsers let you view, block, or delete cookies. Open your browser settings and look for the Privacy & Security section. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent login and core platform features from working.

Analytics Opt-Out

To opt out of PostHog analytics, enable the Do Not Track (DNT) signal in your browser — Optiviera respects this signal automatically. For Google and Stripe cookies, refer to their respective privacy policies and opt-out tools.

Disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in and using core platform features. Functional and analytics cookies can be disabled without affecting your ability to authenticate.

Policy Updates

We keep this policy current as our platform evolves

We may update this Cookie Policy periodically as our services evolve or regulations change. When we do, we revise the 'Last updated' date at the top of this page and, where required by law, notify you via email or an in-app notification. We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed.
